
A simple equation representing the oscillation condition is SLHSSRHS=1, which can be stated as: if any junction in the circuit meets the condition (the reflection coefficient of left hand side multiplies the reflection coefficient of the right hand side equals one), oscillation occurs.
The equation can be rewritten as ZLHS=-ZRHS, which means Re[ZLHS]=-Re[ZRHS] and Im[ZLHS]=-Im[ZRHS].
For example, in Fig.1, either to design GT.GTN =1 or to design GOUT.GLN =1 will work.
